Eleven SICCA friends had the pleasure to tour behind-the-scene of the Children's Museum of Indianapolis with Curator of Anthropology and Archaeology, Ashley Ramsey Hannum. We also met and had a round table discussion with her colleagues - Conservator, Collections Manager, and Exhibit Developers.

Eight SICCA friends enjoyed a night of fun and causal dinner and drinks at Gerst Haus- a restaurant that serves traditional German and American plates on Evansville historic Franklin Street.

Textile Care and Storage Workshop

Location: Evansville Museum of Arts, History & Science- Evansville, IN

Karen DePauw and Tamara Hemmerlin from the Indiana Historical Society's Local History Services instructed a Textile Care and Storage Workshop to 21 participants.
​
Attendees also tried their hands on fiber burn test to learn about fiber identification.
5th Annual Meeting

The 5th Annual Meeting was hosted by the Evansville Vanderburgh Public Library. Attendees learned about the latest projects from Nathan Jochum, Librarian of Practice Performing Arts. While Amber Gowen, Vanderburgh County Clerk's Archivist presented about her research on WWI nurses from Evansville.
Participants also had the opportunity to see all the wonderful resources and tools the Library has to offered to researchers during a behind-the-scene tour with Daniel Smith, Local History and Digitization Librarian.
